Coded Poetry

Camila A.

In 2015, I gave a lecture in Natal. When I arrived, there was a girl at the airport. “I wanted to show you something.” She wrote coded poetry. There were several pages of concrete poetry in programming language. “What do you think?” “This is beautiful! It’s wonderful! Let’s post it on the blog!” And she said: “I knew you’d be the only one to support me. Everyone else says I am destroying the code.” That made an impression on me, because in the blog women felt free to talk about programming technology any way they wished.
